Office design in the new normal situation.

The Covid-19 pandemic has seriously affected the world, and to overcome these difficulties, many businesses have adopted a hybrid work style, where employees can work at different locations such as home, at a cafe, at the office, or anywhere they want as long as they meet the requirements of the job. Working space is no longer a barrier for employees to be creative and increase productivity.

At the end of last May, Okamura Vietnam - a company specializing in office furniture from Japan was honored to hold an intimate sharing session with the theme "Workstyle in Japan " by Mr. Masahiko Kanaya – Managers of Design & Projects Management Division, Okamura Singapore. He has had more than 14 years of experience at Okamura Corporation, has been in charge of designing and managing many projects of clients who are multinational corporations.

Mr. Masahiko Kanaya also shared about how to come up with ideas when designing a hybrid office based on 3 main groups (People, Team, and Organizations) with 9 basic elements (Diversity, Autonomy, Well-being, Formation, Collaboration, Emotion, Boundaryless, Culture and Management). Depending on the requirements of each customer, we will flexibly apply different working spaces to suit.

Since the 1960s, Okamura Corporation has cooperated with Chiba University to conduct research on ergonomics. From the research results, breakthroughs have been made in the design of the back of the chair to maintain the S-shaped curve of the human spine, the pressure distribution of the seat, and the adjustment functions to suit various physiques.

Mr. Masahiko Kanaya also added, “Okamura's products are not only outstanding in quality, but also invest a lot in design. One of the strategic design partners of Okamura is the Ital design established by Giorgetto Giugiaro in Italy with a wide range of ergonomic chairs, and most especially the Contessa ergonomic chair, with smart operation function, adjustable seat functions only with one-touch under the arms of the chair.

With the motto “Quality pays for itself”, Okamura's office furniture products have conquered one of the strictest quality standards of The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association - BIFMA.
